Westminster Village
Apartment Waiting List Information

If you need to relocate as soon as possible to Westminster Village, you may pay the full Security Deposit amount. For Assisted Living at Westview Wing, you pay one months fee for level one service for the size unit you want (remember if it is for two people to add the second person rate to the deposit). For independent it is equal to one month's rent for the type of apartment you desire. If the apartment size and type you want is not available, your full payment will allow you to be placed on our Priority Waiting List.

Potential residents, who opt for Priority Waiting, will move ahead of those that are on our regular Waiting List, however, they will only be offered the type of apartment they requested. If a person refused two apartments that meet their request, the need to be on Priority Waiting will be evaluated.

Anyone on the regular Waiting List can move to the Priority List by paying the difference between the full deposit and the $200.00 deposit previously paid. Placement on either list depends on when original deposit were paid. People moving from the Waiting List to our Priority List will be able to keep their original deposit date. The person with the oldest deposit date would have first choice of the apartment that is offered.

Any time you wish to be placed on Priority Waiting, please call to make those arrangements.

As a unit becomes available, we contact those people on the list interested in that type of unit. We start with the individuals holding the oldest deposit dates and work down the priority list, then we work from the regular waiting list. When you are notified that an independent unit is available and you accept that unit, you will have up to sixty (60) days from the day you accept the apartment to move in. For Assisted Living at Westview Wing you have thirty (30) days from the day you accept the apartment.

Completion of various forms is required prior to your move in. If you plan to choose a Life Occupancy Plan rather than the Rental Option, we will need to know your current financial information once you have selected your apartment, you need to qualify and be approved for a Life Occupancy contract. In addition, medical forms will need to be completed by you and your physician, and your physician must supply us with a current chest x-ray report stating you are free of TB or a negative TB test result. For Assisted Living you need a two step TB test. Once again, these financial and medical forms must be received back in our office before you will be approved for move in.

If you do choose an apartment and move in, the amount you have paid for a deposit is applied to your Security deposit, which is equal to one month's rent. If for some reason circumstances prevent you from moving in, we will return your deposit. All we need is for you to request in writing that your deposit be refunded. The refund will be made to the prospective resident, regardless of who made the deposit.
