In 2002 we started
apartment renovations with replacing all the new entry doors to the
apartments. In 2003, anytime an Independent Apartment becomes available,
we completely refurbish the unit, unless it has already been refurbished.
In the spring of 2006 we will start refurbishing apartments in
Westview Wing as the become available. There are some differences in the
Independent and Westview Wing apartment refurbishing.
In the
Independent apartments, we started by
replacing the cabinets with new Aristocraft Oak Cabinets in
wheat in a new
configuration.
 The
same cabinets are uses in Westview Wing but configured differently.
The new counter
top is
Wilsonart Fresco.
We've added a
new sink, disposal, range hood, 15ft. GE frost free refrigerator, and new
light fixtures in the kitchen and entry. In Westview Wing apartments, on the third
floor of building three, there is no range. Westminster Village has
provided a microwave. In the Westview Wing efficiency, there is a small
refrigerator and small microwave.
We have replaced all
the doors with six panel colonial doors
painted in
ancestral white. The white trim sets off
the flax
colored walls.
Armstrong Memories vinyl in
the kitchen and bath and a
beige carpet
complete the color pallet. In Westview Wing a Berber carpet in beige tones
is used.
In the one bedroom units, we have added a walk-in shower so that every
unit has a shower. All bathroom vanities and sinks have been replaced, and
a new
 medicine
cabinet has been added.
