Sometimes the unexpected happens and the need for temporary assistance in every day living becomes necessary.  Westminster Village’s Assisted Living at Westview Wing has a Respite Care Room to meet this need.

 The Respite Care Room is an efficiency apartment located on the third floor of Building Three in our licensed assisted living area.  The room is comfortably furnished, has a private bath with a walk-in shower and individually controlled heating and air conditioning units.  For your convenience, Westminster Village provides linens, telephone for local calls, TV, and other amenities to make your short stay comfortable.  There is also an emergency intercom system that provides a pendant for emergency response if you have a medical emergency. 

The services offered in our assisted living area can help you recover after a hospital or nursing home stay to get you ready to return to your independent lifestyle.  All your needs for homemaker type services will be met.  You will receive three nutritious meals a day with lots of menu choices and snacks if you need them.  The personal care assistants and our housekeeping staff will clean the apartment, change the linens, make the bed, and empty the trash just like if you were staying in a fine hotel.  They will also do your personal laundry.  Our staff plans and coordinates many opportunities to engage in programs from exercise to sing-a-longs in order to keep life active and enjoyable.  

Westview Wing is a licensed assisted living area allowing staff to provide many other services to help with your recovery.  Personal care assistants can assist with activities of daily living like bathing or dressing.  They can also provide medication assistance, such as reminders, medication set up or supervision.  If your rehabilitation requires physical therapy, there is a physical therapy area on our campus.  This is not included as a part of the Assisted Living program, but physical therapy can be added if needed. 

Westminster Village is a Continuing Care Retirement Community, and our main building has many common areas for you to use and enjoy.  On our campus there is a branch bank, library, beauty/barbershop, sundries shop, pool table and exercise area.  

Since this apartment is in a licensed Assisted Living area there is a certain amount of paperwork, required by law, which must be completed prior to moving in.
